Residents' Committee(RC) Centres at Bukit Panjang Estate                                         April 2011

Zhenghua Jelapang Residents Committee is a centre under the
framework of the People's Association (PA).  The function of this
grassroot  organisation is to  achieve the mission  in building and
bridging communities as One People, One Singapore by offering
a wide range of programme and services to cater to the need  and
interests  of  Singaporeans    from  all walks of  life. An estate like
Bukit  Panjang  can  have  quite a  few  RC centres  in  operations,
constantly organizing outdoor and indoor activities to promote an
active and healthy lifestyle for the locals.

This  is my "birth place" where I started  to get a feel of  Tai Chi
Chuan during the year 2007. Before this, I've never heard of it,
well, a little bit  perhaps but not  sure what  is it like. One day,
I chanced upon my senior during a gathering who is also my friend.
She took the  opportunity  to invite me to sign up for the Tai Chi
course which  I hesitated for a while without  any clue  of  this
martial  art. I  finally  agreed to  sign  up  for the sake of health.
Thereafter, it has become a place where I started to widen my
social life and  I'm very glad to have worked and enjoyed together
with this Tai Chi groups.  People here are friendly and easy to get
along with and you can certainly pick a few wisdom and advice
from their  life's experience.  The new students are the one that always
inspired me with their enthusiasm and an eagerness to learn. They
also knew when to exercise their respect for the seniors. Such is the
teaching ideology of our two teachers :

Respect the Senior, Follow the Way. 尊师重道

Team Spirit means to put your ego aside,to
learn from each other, to  co-operate   with your
peers, to synchronise your  speed of  movement
with  your  team, to enjoy the moment as one, to
sacrifice your  personal  time, to put in effort, to
help each  other,  to respect all, to put your status
aside, to have one common goal, to set differences
aside, to forgive each other, to accept success or
failure as a team, to  reflect on  yourself, to  listen
to  advice,  and  if  everyone  is  willing  to work
                                                  towards this principles:

  Teachers Day Celebration                                                          Sept 2010

Left: Teacher Kang 江老师.
Right: Teacher Lim 林老师
This is our third Teachers Day Celebration for our two beloved and well respected teachers to give thanks for their relentless sacrifice, patience and dedication in all these years.  We totally enjoyed this light-hearted moment as it is something out of our normal Tai Chi routine.  The celebration is also a good way to enhance group spirit and to foster a common understanding among each other while engaging in small-talks and don't get me wrong, I'm not referring to gossips!

老师节快乐 - Happy Teachers Day !
They both have something in common : -
their unforgettable smiles and cheerful character !
You take the left side, I take the right side - ok buddy?

One Tai Chi Family
